Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Responsibilities and Authority:
Coordinate, review and submit PPAP documents to customer 001611908900
Prepare PSW and Control Plans and conduct Process Capability and GR&R studies as part of PPAP submissions
Get and define PPM levels for new customers.
TECHS in pre-production, PPAP+180 phase
Monitor Customer Portals for advanced quality portion. PPAP and complaints pre-production, PPAP+180
Proactive prevention out of control production processes.
Conducts MSA, CPK, Gage R&R for new product launches.
Leads cross-functional team for solving quality problems by using root-cause analysis tools for new product launches.
Supports IATF16949 and ISO 14000 audits. Participate in Internal and external audits.
Follow-up of corrective actions from internal audits.
Interpret and incorporate engineering drawings, standards, and Customer Specific Requirements into the quality system.
Know the specific environmental aspects and impacts.
Collects, registers, support and evaluates quality deviations during LEANPD projects until start of the PPAP process.
Responsible for auditing APQP Deliverables in LEANPD during the product and process design phase until the PPAP process starts are available and correctly integrated in the AQP IF.
Assure any project which is not in compliance with Lean PD are reported and/or escalated and actions to move to a compliance status are defined.
Participate as cross function team member in the FMEA meetings to achieve the quality standard, structure, and content.
Creation of prototype and pre-launch control plans within the team during LEANPD.
Part of the project core team and being the Voice of the customer as well as the interface to other TE departments during pre-production and PPAP+180 phase.
Supporting the “Lessons Learned” process during project start, during project development and in case of customer complaints to avoid re occurrence for new developments.
Managing technical information to the staff and employees, e.g., trainings, seminars, software, quality standards.
Collaboration in introducing and training of new quality and engineering related software packages, Quality procedures and systems.
Training of standards in APIS (FMEA), Statistical software (capability), Lessons Learned Database, etc.
Supporting the implementation of general quality standards in Engineering departments.
Representing the company to the customer in quality related tasks during the LEANPD project.
Follow and lead customer audits as a part of a LEANPD project.
Support Safe Launch for critical projects to ensure 0 customer complaints before hand over the project to manufacturing site
Champion of the Reverse FMEA for LEANPD projects.
Performs actions to reduce environmental impact, as well as activities for compliance with ISO14001.
Authority to stop a process in which there is the possibility of harming the environment or/and that is outside environmental legal compliance.
Authority to propose the necessary training to improve the environmental management program.
Authority to establish and control the necessary processes to satisfy the environmental management system requirements.
Determine the environmental impacts and aspects of its activities, personnel, as well as products that it can control.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree: electrical or mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing engineering preferred
+2 years of experience in quality related activities.
Experience as Quality Engineer automotive environment preferred.
Experience in an automotive regulated environment (Tier supply chain and OEM).
Project Management experience preferred.
