Job Description - QA Engineer

Position Overview: We are looking for a QA Engineer with a solid background in manual testing, strong problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience with basic automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead testing efforts, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and ensure software quality across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate testing efforts, working closely with Product and Development teams to understand requirements and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, results, and defect reports.
• Apply strong debugging, log analysis, and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform comprehensive API testing and microservices validation using tools like Postman and log aggregators (e.g., Splunk).
• Develop and execute UI, API, and integration tests to ensure the robustness and reliability of applications.
• Continuously improve test coverage and identify test gaps through strong analytical skills.
• Collaborate on product-driven testing processes for web-based applications.
• Ensure alignment of testing efforts with product requirements and delivery timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong experience in manual testing, with the ability to lead and execute testing strategies.
• Familiarity with basic automation frameworks and hands-on experience writing automated tests.
• Expertise in API testing, microservices architecture, and tools such as Postman, Splunk, GitLab, and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of communication paradigms like REST and gRPC.
• Hands-on experience in UI testing, API testing, and integration testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze logs to debug issues.
• Strong understanding of testing processes for web products and product-driven testing methodologies.
• Basic programming skills in any programming language to support test automation efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in the travel industry is a plus.

Performance Parameters

• Understanding the test requirements and test case design of the product. Ensure error-free testing solutions, minimum process exceptions, 100% SLA compliance, automation using VB, macros.
• Execute test cases and reporting. Focus on testing efficiency & quality, on-time delivery, troubleshooting queries within TAT, CSAT score.
