Let’s break it down

Goods & Services is looking for a Senior SDET who is skilled in test planning, execution, and documentation for web, mobile, and backend applications. Proficient in API testing with Postman and Swagger, SQL queries, defect tracking in Jira/Azure DevOps, and cross-browser debugging. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, identifies test gaps, and ensures comprehensive test coverage in Agile environments.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute:
• Test plans and test strategies, test case documentation.
• Centralized and Integrated applications testing.
• Test execution, monitoring and coordination.
• Tracking of product defects in the software tracking tool.
• Deployment of software application installation and verification.
• Technical Test Result documentation.
• Collaborate with non-technical cross-functional team members.
• Execute and track testing on assigned products, including new products and modifications to existing systems.
• Communicate software issues through defects and enhancement requests to project team.
• Research and document software issues.
• Help to keep Confluence pages up to date.
• Actively provide status to lead or supervisor on assigned projects.
• Create test strategies for new features and ensure there is test coverage based on the test plan.
• Identify test gaps and prioritize adding coverage based on areas of risk.
• Improve to leadership that can benefit the team and company.
• Document defects in products and update resolution in the ticket management system, Jira.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.

What You’ll Need

• B.S. degree required preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or related along with 5 years of related experience in software Quality Assurance testing methodology.
• Knowledge and experience on Web UI and Mobile application testing.
• Proficient using Postman and Swagger/Stoplight.
• Experience in testing RESTful API.
• Experienced in manual functional, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Experienced in “black box” testing techniques.
• Experience testing web, native apps and back-end applications.
• Experience with JSON.
• Database knowledge: Solid with database structures, SQL queries, and joins.
• Experience working with defect management and test management tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience testing across web browsers including configuration, cache, and debugging techniques.
• Logical and systematic approach to complex support service issues.

Nice To Have

• Testing experience within an organization that has utilized Rapid or Agile software development life cycles.
• Familiar with YAML.
• Knowledge of defect management and test management tools such as Jira, HP Quality Center, ClearQuest, Bugzilla.
• Experience in data validation required for functional and end-to-end testing.
• App Server experience on Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Weblogic or Liferay.
