AgileEngine is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to build regression tests and drive quality across the SDLC at our Guadalajara, MX site. You will automate, validate, and document feature behavior while collaborating with product and customer-facing teams to ensure robust software delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in QA and automated testing, strong communication, and experience with Gherkin and prompt/harness engineering to enable quality-driven development.

Responsabilidades

• Build regression automation scripts to support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and escape any risk to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure quality through the SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, JMeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as GitHub Actions, LambdaTest, SendGrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.
