AgileEngine seeks a Python Backend Developer to build and extend the backend of an internal developer portal and dashboard, using AI coding tools daily.

You will work on a robust Python backend, integrating Snowflake and other databases, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a flexible, hybrid setup that supports remote and office work.

Formación

• 4+ years of hands-on Python backend development with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development workflows.
• Proficiency with Git including branch management, pull requests, and CI/CD integration.
• User-level Linux/Unix command-line navigation and scripting basics.
• Experience with Snowflake, relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.

• Continue the development and extension of the internal developer portal and dashboard.
• Design, build, and maintain a robust Python backend to support core features.
• Leverage AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to streamline implementation and testing.

• Manage version control and CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated testing and deployment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to build and extend the backend of an internal developer portal and dashboard, using AI coding tools in daily work.

MUST HAVES

• Python Expertise: Strong hands-on backend development experience of at least 4 years using Python and standard web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• AI Tooling: Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants in daily development workflows.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Proficiency with Git, including branch management, pull requests, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Linux/Unix Fundamentals: User-level proficiency with Linux/Unix command-line navigation, shell scripting basics, and environment manipulation (no administrative/sysadmin duties required).
• Database Integration: Experience working with diverse databases, including Snowflake, relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
• API Design: Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and integration.

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with modern frontend development (TypeScript or modern component-based frameworks like React/Vue) for cross-stack collaboration.
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.

• Design, build, and maintain a robust custom Python backend to support core application features.
• Leverage AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to streamline implementation, refactoring, and test generation.
• Integrate the application with diverse database environments, specifically Snowflake, relational (SQL), and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
• Manage version control and CI/CD pipelines (Git) to maintain automated testing and smooth deployment workflows.
• Interact with and navigate Linux/Unix environments on a user level to run development builds, execute scripts, and inspect logs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, peer code reviews, and performance optimization.
