Nutanix is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python developer to contribute to the development and enhancement of our automation libraries and API backend development for dev prod tools and services. This role requires strong Python programming expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple component teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and libraries. You'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services and supporting our engineering teams throughout the entire commit-to-release lifecycle. About the Team

At Nutanix, you'll be joining the Developer Productivity automation and test services team, a close-knit group of around 25 members. Our team thrives on an open and collaborative culture, where every individual is encouraged to contribute their ideas and expertise to deliver outstanding engineering products. We foster an environment of learning and innovation, where every team member has a voice and can actively participate in shaping our projects and processes.

You will report to the Manager of Engineering, who is dedicated to supporting your professional growth while fostering a culture of trust and open communication. Our work setup is primarily on-site, with a requirement to come into the office a minimum of three days a week. This allows for effective collaboration and team bonding.

Your Role

• Design, develop, and maintain Python libraries for automation purposes.
• Python backend API development for dev prod tools and services.
• Collaborate with various component teams to understand their automation needs and integrate the developed libraries.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of the automation libraries through thorough testing and validation.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall codebase.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
