Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams, which build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Purchasing Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Materials, the Purchasing Manager is in charge of overseeing activities related to the procurement of Direct materials, parts, components, and equipment. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in procurement consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications.

  • Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
  • Establishes goals for purchasing department.
  • Follow-up policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
  • Manage and guide a team of buyers and expeditors to meet procurement and supplier management goals
  • Interface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining company procurement strategies
  • Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance
  • Helping implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory models
  • Supervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous timely supply of parts and services
  • Approves purchase orders and change notices through subordinates.
  • Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Ensures continuity of raw material supply to help production schedules and balances with achieving inventory level targets.
  • Investigates inventory levels. Helps process to manage excess and obsolete material.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and help the team to maintain supplier consistent on time delivery and implement processes with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality of product / service
  • Keep senior management informed of present/future trends in availability and cost of materials, components and equipment
  • Monitors on-time supplier deliveries, inventory turns, MRP execution, Purchase Price Variance, processing time reduction, supplier performance and cost investigation.
