Daimler Truck AG Mexico is seeking a procurement professional to negotiate and renew supplier agreements for critical materials, tooling, and services for production. You will work with local and international teams to secure favorable pricing and contracts, while managing supplier relationships and supporting supply chain continuity.

Academic background in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or International Business is valued, with strong MS Office skills and English (B1) / Spanish (C1)

Qualificações

• Bachelors in engineering or related field is expected.
• Experience with purchasing and supplier negotiations is required.
• Strong knowledge of materials management and pricing in metals is preferred.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office is essential.
• Ability to work with local and international cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Negotiate or renew supplier agreements for critical materials and tooling.
• Lead long-term supplier programs to enable competitive pricing.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive cost goals.
• Participate in development of global commodity strategies and VA/VE initiatives.
• Ensure procurement contracts (NDA, LOI, LTA) are in place for new projects.
• Support planning and logistics to ensure on-time material delivery.

Objective of the position:
Negotiate or renew supplier agreements to purchase critical materials, parts components, tooling or service for DVCM Production on assigned commodity, always working within Procurement Guidelines procedures to ensure the best competitive options for the company

Indispensable Requirements

(Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be discarded):

• Process management. SAP.
• Project management experience
• Work with local and international cross-functional teams.
• Experience with technical drawings & tolerance
• Direct materials management experience for factories preferred. Experience to manage and track metals markets and related raw material pricing.
• Advance knowledge in Microsoft Office
• 2 years experience with purchasing negotiations, cost structures & contracts. Knowledge of automotive - commercial vehicle industry landscape focused on any of the following processes: metal fabrications, wire harnesses, powertrain (axles, transmissions, engines), exhaust systems, suspension components, tires & wheels
• English level:B1
• Spanish Level: C1

Main Functions:

• Negotiate or renew supplier agreements (LON´S & LTA´s) to purchase critical materials, parts components, tooling for DVCM Bus Mexico production on assigned commodity. Negotiate the most effective long term programs for DVCM Bus Mexico - including supplier commitments for production pricing that will differentiate DVCM Bus Mexico in the marketplace.
• Negotiate long term agreements with suppliers. Negotiate for exclusive products for DVCM bus Mexico
• Manage supplier relationship, including long term strategic partners. Work with suppliers to archive DVCM Bus Mexico cost goals
• Represent the purchasing team on projects assigned. Participate in the development of long terms and global commodity strategies for production. Evaluate alternatives materials, methods, and technologies and alternative suppliers as necessary. Perform VA/VE workshops with selected supplier by management team request.
• Create and implement CoMeT measures to report efficiencies or risks initiatives to ensure ANP, Support and monitor results reporting through global business systems.
• Create and ensure that all DVCM Bus Mexico procurement contractors are in place for all new DVCM projects with current / new suppliers: NDA (unilateral -mutual), LOI, SD (if apply), LON, LTA
• Support planning logistics, production dept when there is a material issue related with the suppliers in order to ensure that all material requested for DVCM bus Mexico production will be delivered within lead time.
