Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Cost Engineer for the Propulsion team. You will participate in cost estimation, should-cost analyses, and cost tracking for vehicle components across programs, validating supplier quotes against internal models.

You will collaborate with engineering and purchasing to align costs, evaluate changes, and support informed decision making. Hybrid work in Mexico, with opportunities for career growth and training.

Formación

• Bachelor in Engineering, preferably automotive-related.
• Minimum 3 years of cost/technical engineering experience in OEM or Tier 1.
• Knowledge of design, manufacturing and cost analysis.
• Experience in transmissions, drivelines or internal combustion engines is a plus.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency and strong English communication.
• Ability to analyze supplier and buyer quotations against cost models.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in cost estimation and should-cost for components analyzing material, manufacturing process, labor and machine rates, tooling, and other aspects.
• Analyze and validate supplier and buyer quotations by comparing internal cost models and should cost.
• Evaluate cost impact of engineering changes.
• Create and maintain cost tracking reports and graphs for components across programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and purchasing to ensure cost alignment.
