Job Title: Project Technician

You will report to: Engineering Manager in Mexico

Work model: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Rockwell automation products and solutions.
• Install and commission Rockwell automation equipment and systems in industrial environments, ensuring they function and meet customer specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot: Resolve technical issues in automation systems, using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime and maintain equipment operation.
• Provide technical training to customers and colleagues on properly using Rockwell's automation products and solutions, and maintenance and troubleshooting best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams, including application engineers, product developers, and partners, to ensure the successful delivery of automation projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field, or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of Rockwell Automation products.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80%, so travel availability is required.

The candidate may meet the following project constraints:

• Scope, Time, Risk (Risk Identification), Quality (QMS)
• Configuration of HMI, CLX, and/or other listed technologies
• Applying training to enhance skills on technologies listed below:

Typically working as a member of a project team led by a senior engineer, participating in system implementation and startup, following detailed specifications or work instructions.

• Logix programming: PlantPAx, GEMS, Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block, Sequential Function Chart, S88 / Phase Manager, Application Code Manager
• Networking: Ethernet communications, networking infrastructure
• Application development: FTViewME/SE, virtualization, ThinManager, AssetCentre, Disaster Recovery, Security, FTHistorian, FTBatch, Database, Transaction Mgr, VantagePoint, SQL Reporting Services
