Manage and assist in the management of the NPDI process to facilitate cross-functional teamwork; lead operational projects that support the advancement of CI efforts. During NPD processes and supporting operations, the Project Manager will generate and facilitate the required project documentation to guide and assist the project team in the predictable execution and launch of key milestones, product launches, production transfers, and handover to operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Effectively collaborate to drive participation of the project team.
- Support projects using project management processes and tools.
- Maintain awareness of project or portfolio governance.
- Provide administrative support, including communicating project expectations, updates, and potential risks to team members and stakeholders.
- Possibly have financial reconciliation responsibilities.
- Ensure risk management and procedural compliance of projects.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure accuracy of project deliverables and timelines.
- Produce quality deliverables within deadlines.
- Report status of assigned work efforts.
- Identify, track, and manage project issues.
- Ensure project processes and procedures are followed.
- Learn to partner with leads and other agency resources to manage the production and delivery of work, including managing multiple smaller projects and supporting larger projects from end-to-end.
- Assist in project and product documentation, including risk registers, issue logs, assumptions, constraints, and lessons learned.
- Ensure problems are transparent and risks are proactively managed with ongoing mitigation actions.
- Develop and execute project documentation across all five stages of Project Management: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring/Control, and Closing.
- Maintain concise, timely, and professional communication (verbal and written).
- Meet training requirements and follow established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years of project management experience.
- Skills in planning, budgeting, and project management aligned with business goals.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Ability to lead and function effectively in a team environment.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, situational leadership, and emotional intelligence skills.
- Outstanding verbal and presentation skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.
- Valid visa to enter the United States.
- Work location: Tijuana, BC, MX.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP or CAPM certification with project management experience.
- Strong track record as an Engineering Team Lead or Project Manager.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Knowledge of Change Management processes.
- Participation in at least two complete product development cycles from design to launch.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of FDA, QSR, and ISO 13485 standards for medical devices.
