Is responsible for development, coordination and driving of the Project Management function, which owns execution of New Product Development (“NPD”), Product Transfers, and other important projects which support the business. Project Management works closely with Product Management, Product Development, Engineering and Manufacturing to execute key business strategies and collaborates cross-functionally to align the organization to meet its goals.
- PMs will ensure that Project Deliverables have clear scope & schedule that are represented in the project plan and tied to PO commit dates that support them.
- PM ensures that negative impacts to a schedule that cannot be overcome are communicated to all parties reflected in the project plan / Purchase Order Entry.
- PM works closely with engineering and sourcing to ensure that material will arrive on time to support the engineering teams / customers.
- PM works in direct support of Product Management for Segment Project,Prioritization, resourcing and ensuring we meet our financial goals.
- Provides plan and coordination of all functions related to assigned NPD, Transfer, or other sanctioned strategic projects.
- Collaborate with Customers, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and all Operations functions to drive alignment in meeting project goals and objectives.
- Manage NPD projects and other approved projects with a focus on compliance to the Quality, Management System, NPD and all other related procedures.
- Manage projects to meet objectives and deliverables on time and with the highest quality by mitigating risks, being proactive, using strong communication, and implanting world-class management tools and procedures.
- Report project status on a regular basis to key stakeholders (i.e. monthly key project status update, weekly/monthly NPD PB update, weekly project pulse call update, etc.)
- College degree (Engineering, or related).
- Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated performance in Project Management required, (+2 years minimum).
- Proven track record of successful project management, conflict resolution, facilitation, organizational and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency utilizing networked PCs using ERP/MRP software systems such as SAP.
- Must have excellent verbal and written English language communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and coaching/Gemba skills.
- Capable of presenting to all levels of management or customers.
- Demonstrated ability to make positive impact decisions, prioritize and meet or exceed deadlines.
- Demonstrated ownership for decisions and actions; facilitates accountability.
- Ability to obtain and maintain valid passport to travel overseas when required, including to USA.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and respond constructively to difficult situations in a timely manner.
