Overseeing and coordinating various aspects of engineering projects from conception to completion. With a focus on ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards, they collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Their responsibilities include project planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, and monitoring progress throughout all stages of development. With strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills, the Project Engineer effectively communicates with stakeholders, resolves issues, and implements innovative solutions to achieve project objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support and complete projects assigned by Program management and other teams in the organization.
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies, proactively addressing challenges to maintain project momentum.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, key milestones, and potential risks while ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Oversee resource allocation, budget tracking, and process optimization to drive efficiency and successful project outcomes.
- Review product engineering drawings with a clear understanding and application of GD&T.
- Conduct time studies to improve work throughput.
- Improve raw material and finished goods layouts.
- Develop packaging solutions.
- Implement new and/or improve existing floor layouts.
- Attend and participate in daily production meetings, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and other meetings as needed.
- Travel to suppliers or customer locations upon request.
- Bring cost reduction ideas to management’s attention.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing on miscellaneous projects to increase efficiency, improve safety, and optimize process flow.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required by the Manager and others.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a Technology-related field.
- Fluent in GD&T, Gage R&R, data interpretation, data analysis, and reporting.
- Advanced understanding of standard inspection tools and systems.
- Good mathematical background with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
- Proficiency in English at 90% or higher.
- Valid visa for employment.
