LEONI is seeking a Project Purchasing professional in Hermosillo, Mexico, to manage strategic purchasing from RFQ through SOP to EOL, ensuring alignment with cost targets and project goals. The role interfaces with sales, development, quality, and production, driving market insights and supplier collaboration.

The candidate should have at least 3 years in similar roles, excellent English (C1) and Spanish, and strong negotiation and data analytics capabilities. Hybrid work setup offered.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role within manufacturing.
• Proficiency in English at C1 level (advanced).
• Fluency in both Spanish and English with strong professional communication capabilities.
• Proven expertise in strategic negotiation and supplier management.
• Advanced proficiency in big data analytics and data visualization tools.

Responsabilidades

• Manages purchasing tasks from customer RFQ through Start of Production (SOP) to End of Life (EOL) in line with purchasing standards and strategies.
• Analyses and edits Bills of Material (BOMs) to ensure material cost competitiveness and alignment with project targets.
• Acts as the Strategic Purchasing interface across departments including sales, development, quality, controlling, production, etc.
• Represents Strategic Purchasing in project kick-offs, gate / milestone reviews, risk assessments and business plan meetings.
• Integrates global purchasing aspects into project teams and ensure bidirectional information flow.

Job Description

Project Purchasing manages all strategic purchasing activities from the RFQ phase through to the end of the project lifecycle. This includes preparing robust and competitive material costings, supporting order intake success, and ensuring alignment with strategic purchasing goals. The department is accountable for achieving Strategic Purchasing Business Plan commitments and shares responsibility for meeting overall project objectives, with a strong focus on P&L performance.

• Manages purchasing tasks from customer RFQ through Start of Production (SOP) to End of Life (EOL) in line with purchasing standards and strategies, internal and external requirements.
• Analyzes and edits Bills of Material (BOMs) to ensure material cost competitiveness and alignment with project targets
• Acts as the Strategic Purchasing interface across departments including sales, development, quality, controlling, production, etc.
• Represents Strategic Purchasing in project kick-offs, gate / milestone reviews, risk assessments and business plan meetings.
• Integrates global purchasing aspects into project teams and ensure bidirectional information flow, e.g. about market trends, new technologies, etc.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role within the manufacturing sector
• Proficiency in English at C1 level (advanced)
• Demonstrated fluency in both Spanish and English with strong professional communication capabilities
• Proven expertise in strategic negotiation and supplier management
• Advanced proficiency in big data analytics and data visualization tools
