Description

Essential Functions:

1. Formulate, organize and coordinate multiple projects at a time.
2. Responsible for creating and managing suitable strategies and objectives for each project.
3. Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities.
4. Responsible to coordinate and manage any product or process deviation.
5. Responsible to coordinate engineering changes due to customer requirements.
6. Communication between local members to manage the Engineering systems and functions without language barriers.
7. Provide daily status input to the Staff.
8. Lead tasks for optimization and improvement in designated area.
9. Clearly communicate requirements and expectations with all staff members. Ensure all the needed resources are available in order to meet customer product demand and requirements.
10. Be the point of contact between Engineering corporate team and local members for successful product manufacturing.
11. Resolve project’s higher scope issues.

Secondary Functions:

1. Actively participate in all customer meetings.
2. Prepares reports as necessary; mainly for Director’s level.
3. Daily support to the manufacturing processes and members.
4. Ensure data availability.
5. Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Specialized Training, Skills, Abilities, Experience:

1. 4-year college degree in Business, Management or Manufacturing required.
2. Minimum of 5 years previous experience in an automotive tier 1/2 manufacturing environment with focus on Project Management areas.
3. Strong communication skills.
4. Strong leadership skills.
5. Thorough knowledge of Engineering Drawings.
6. Foreign language skills, Fluent English mandatory.
7. Strong knowledge of computer software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) necessary.
8. Technical knowledge of manufacturing process for window regulators, cable assemblies, door modules, etc. preferred.
9. Knowledge of PLEX System is a plus.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

1. Factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment.
2. Possible exposure to chemicals, moving equipment, parts, and electrical shock.
3. Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects -- up to 50 pounds.
4. International and domestic travel more than 25% of the time.
