Description
Essential Functions:
- Formulate, organize and coordinate multiple projects at a time.
- Responsible for creating and managing suitable strategies and objectives for each project.
- Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities.
- Responsible to coordinate and manage any product or process deviation.
- Responsible to coordinate engineering changes due to customer requirements.
- Communication between local members to manage the Engineering systems and functions without language barriers.
- Provide daily status input to the Staff.
- Lead tasks for optimization and improvement in designated area.
- Clearly communicate requirements and expectations with all staff members. Ensure all the needed resources are available in order to meet customer product demand and requirements.
- Be the point of contact between Engineering corporate team and local members for successful product manufacturing.
- Resolve project’s higher scope issues.
Secondary Functions:
- Actively participate in all customer meetings.
- Prepares reports as necessary; mainly for Director’s level.
- Daily support to the manufacturing processes and members.
- Ensure data availability.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Specialized Training, Skills, Abilities, Experience:
- 4-year college degree in Business, Management or Manufacturing required.
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in an automotive tier 1/2 manufacturing environment with focus on Project Management areas.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Engineering Drawings.
- Foreign language skills, Fluent English mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of computer software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) necessary.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing process for window regulators, cable assemblies, door modules, etc. preferred.
- Knowledge of PLEX System is a plus.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment.
- Possible exposure to chemicals, moving equipment, parts, and electrical shock.
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects -- up to 50 pounds.
- International and domestic travel more than 25% of the time.
