Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Technology Program Manager for a hybrid role in Apodaca, Nuevo León. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with PeopleSoft, healthcare, and PMI/SAFe practices, plus advanced English proficiency.

You will drive end-to-end product lifecycle for item data, translate business needs into epics, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver robust releases while ensuring compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Project Manager, TPM, or Product Manager.
• Strong experience with PeopleSoft or ERP and related business processes.
• 5 years healthcare domain experience.
• Advanced PMI/SAFe practices.
• Advanced English is a must.

Responsibilities

• Drive end to end product lifecycle management for item data capabilities in PeopleSoft, aligning roadmaps with business priorities and delivering measurable value.
• Oversee requirement discovery with business partners and technical teams to translate needs into clear epics and user stories.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to deliver high quality releases improving item creation, maintenance, and auditability in PeopleSoft.
• Guide backlog prioritization using data-driven insights to balance requests, constraints, and platform health.
• Collaborate with SMEs in cheminformatics and bioinformatics to ensure features support research item data models and attributes.
• Support hybrid work by enabling clear communication rituals and structured documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drive end to end product lifecycle management for item data capabilities in PeopleSoft applications, ensuring that feature roadmaps align with strategic business priorities and deliver measurable value to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee requirement discovery with business partners and technical teams to translate complex item management needs into clear product epics and user stories that are feasible, testable, and aligned to compliance standards.
• Coordinate cross functional collaboration among engineering, quality assurance, operations, and data governance teams to deliver high quality releases that enhance item creation, maintenance, and auditability within PeopleSoft.
• Guide backlog prioritization using data driven insights, balancing customer requests, technical constraints, and long term platform health to maintain sustainable velocity and predictable delivery cycles. -Define and refine product metrics related to item data integrity, processing efficiency, and user adoption to monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and communicate outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts in cheminformatics and bioinformatics to understand scientific workflows and data models, ensuring that product features support accurate representation of complex research items and associated attributes. -Support hybrid work practices by facilitating clear communication rituals, structured documentation, and asynchronous collaboration tools that keep product discovery and delivery efficient regardless of location.
• Drive user experience improvements for item management workflows by partnering with design practitioners to simplify interfaces, reduce manual steps, and minimize data entry errors for business and scientific users.
• Coordinate release planning for day shift operations, aligning deployment windows, stakeholder communication, and hypercare support to minimize disruption and maximize adoption across global teams. -Collaborate with compliance and data governance teams to ensure that item management capabilities in PeopleSoft adhere to applicable industry regulations and internal policies, reducing risk and supporting audit readiness.
• Support training and enablement activities for product features by preparing concise release notes, scenario based demonstrations, and reference materials that help users quickly understand and leverage new item management capabilities.
• Coordinate issue triage and root cause analysis for production incidents related to item data, working closely with support and engineering teams to prioritize fixes and prevent recurrence through thoughtful product changes. -Drive continuous improvement initiatives by gathering feedback from user communities, analyzing usage data, and proposing incremental enhancements that strengthen item lifecycle management and support evolving organizational needs.
