AMETEK Reynosa is seeking a Production Technician to provide technical support on production lines, calibrate equipment, repair boards, and troubleshoot issues to maintain safety, quality and efficiency. You will guide operators, maintain process documentation and collaborate with Engineering on improvements.

You will also update procedures, verify calibration status, and ensure full compliance with Quality System requirements while supporting maintenance activities and on-the-job training.

Formación

  • Read and understand assembly drawings, BOMs and routers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with TIG welding is required or preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Assist in maintaining and updating process documentation for accuracy.
  • Verify calibration status of production equipment to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate usage, maintenance and repair of production boards.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and suggest improvements.
  • Use testing equipment to verify product specs meet standards.
  • Deliver on-the-job technical training to operators.
  • Adhere to safety, hygiene and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare and submit reports in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Support supervisor with additional tasks and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality System requirements.

Descripción del empleo

As a Production Technician, you will provide technical support on production lines through equipment calibration, board repair, and troubleshooting. You will guide and train operators with on-the-job instruction, maintain process documentation, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. You will also collaborate with Engineering, support layout changes, and participate in maintenance and improvement activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining and updating process documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Verify the calibration status of production equipment to maintain compliance and performance standards.
  • Coordinate the usage, maintenance, and repair of production boards to ensure operational continuity.
  • Troubleshoot complex production equipment issues and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Utilize available testing equipment to validate that product specifications meet required standards.
  • Deliver on-the-job technical training to less experienced operators, fostering skill development and operational consistency.
  • Adhere strictly to safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations in all work activities.
  • Prepare and submit assigned reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Ensure full compliance with Quality System requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in the maquiladora industry.
  • High School or Technical career preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and routers.
  • Experience in TIG welding.
  • IPC 610 and J-STD welding certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ESD.
  • Ability to operate equipment and tools.
  • Availability to work flexible hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
