A leading electronics manufacturing company in Tijuana seeks a Production Coordinator. Responsibilities include managing daily and weekly production plans, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, and leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in production coordination within the electronics industry. Advanced English proficiency is required for performance reporting.
Ensure accurate execution of daily and weekly production plans.
Coordinate operations in SMT, PTH, and Final Assembly to guarantee continuous flow and achievement of production targets.
Monitor key performance indicators (efficiency, scrap, OEE, on-time delivery).
Verify availability of materials, equipment, and personnel to support production requirements.
Coordinate model changes, line start-ups, and setups in SMT and PTH areas.
Follow up on production deviations and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 quality management standards and company procedures.
Apply and enforce IPC standards for electronic assemblies (acceptance/rejection criteria).
Promote operational discipline and adherence to safety regulations.
Collaborate with support areas (Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
Train, motivate, and supervise production staff in processes, safety, and quality standards.
Execute production following MES routings with discipline, including scanning each product’s serial number at every operation.
Prepare and present production performance reports in English to corporate management.
Lead the implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, and Continuous Improvement projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience coordinating production in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of SMT, PTH, and Final Assembly processes.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of ERP systems for material consumption in manufacturing orders (SAP or Oracle preferred).
Experience working with MES systems, including routings and serial number tracking.
Knowledge of ISO 13485 quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic assemblies.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Results‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) with the ability to present production results to corporate.
Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, etc.).
