BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Production Supervisor at our SLP Plant in Mexico.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the department Production Line Manager, the Production Supervisor will be primarily responsible for being a leader and facilitator of the work and activities of the work team in order to comply with the objectives of safety, quality, production, environment and work systems in general, to satisfy the requirements of our clients.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Promote and ensure compliance with the company\'s security policies, as well as provide timely follow-up to the closure of the determination of unsafe conditions.
• Participate in the investigation of accidents / incidents.
• Promoter of environmental awareness.
• Execute the Emergency Response Plan correctly according to the procedure.
• Perform LPA according to program and ensure that their leaders in charge execute it.
• Ensure timely completion of production reports (OEE), safety and scrap.
• Ensure the correct filling in time of the production board.
• Follow-up of the closure of actions in general of its cargo lines (LPA, safety, environmental, quality, production (OEE), maintenance, etc.)
• Ensure that the progress of closing activities is communicated to the team.
• Allocation of resources to the staff under their charge.
• Ensure training in the operation and detect the training needs of the staff at the work station.
• Rotate staff in different operations so that the team is cross-functional.
• Manage staff incidents.
• Participate in courses, workshops, training that are requested in order to lead the team to achieve the objectives.
• Promoter of problem solving (AD/A3).
• Determine if an improvement idea generated by a member of your team is feasible, discuss the idea with the executor and validate the implementation of the idea.
• Conflict management (negotiation).
• Actively participate in the Annual Final Inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanical or Industrial Engineer or related career.
• Time of experience in a similar position: 1 year or more in a similar position.
• Required technical knowledge: Manufacturing processes, Personnel administration, Quality and environmental systems, Problem solving processes, Work safety, Lean Manufacturing.
• Other requirements: Microsoft Office
