Reporting to the Materials Manager within the Cable Backplanes Operation, the Planning leader's primary focus is to oversee the planning and scheduling of manufacturing operations to ensure optimal production efficiency and on-time delivery to customer commitments. This role involves collaboration with the procurement team and leadership to maintain healthy inventory levels in WIP and the overall business unit gross inventory.

The planning leader is responsible for talent development, continuous improvement, and fostering a positive work environment within the planning department.

Main responsibilities:

1. Lead the Production Planning Team, ensuring timely and accurate planning across all production lines.
2. Manage production plans based on customer orders, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
3. Collaborate with procurement, engineering, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and resolve bottlenecks.
4. Analyze production performance and proactively adjust plans to meet delivery targets.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, ERP utilization, and KPI performance.
6. Monitor and report key planning metrics such as OTD & OTTR (On-time delivery & On-time to request), production plan adherence, and inventory turnover.
7. Provide leadership to the Planning team, including establishing objectives, setting goals, and managing accountability for deliverables.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, electronic, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a Production Manager role.
• Proficiency in English (90% level or higher).
• Relevant experience leading planning or production teams.
• Ability to work across various organizational disciplines including Engineering, Operations, Program Office, Office, and Business Development.
