Schneider Electric in Monterrey is seeking a Production Planner (Downstream) to optimize schedules, sequencing, and material flow. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and logistics to meet customer commitments and improve overall throughput.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of planning experience, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English. This full-time role requires ERP/MRP expertise (SAP/S4HANA) and a solid background in capacity planning and lean practices.

Formación

  • Bachelor degree required with 3+ years of experience.
  • Advanced experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or S4HANA).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Forecasting experience is required.
  • Capacity planning and finite scheduling knowledge.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Sheet Metal and Copper fabrication processes is a plus.
  • Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

  • Create and update daily/weekly production schedules.
  • Analyse capacity and workload to identify bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate material readiness for manufacturing operations to ensure uninterrupted flow.
  • Review and release manufacturing orders according to priorities and capacity.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points).
  • Lead weekly production scheduling meetings and report KPIs.

Join our supply chain team as a Production Planner (Downstream) in Mty 4 focused on scheduling and sequencing. You'll optimize production schedules, enhance efficiency, and ensure we deliver on customer commitments while working collaboratively across a dynamic, fast-paced operation.

What will you do?
  • Create and update daily/weekly production schedules.
  • Analyse capacity and workload to identify bottlenecks.
  • Participate in project planning meetings to align production with engineering deliverables.
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points).
  • Communicate schedule changes and priorities to shop floor supervisors and team leads.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and resource utilization.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and scheduling processes.
  • Develop and maintain production plans based on customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Coordinate material readiness for Sheet Metal and Copper fabrication operations to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Review and release manufacturing orders according to production priorities and capacity constraints.
  • Optimize production sequencing to minimize setup times, material handling, and machine downtime.
  • Monitor work-in-process (WIP) levels and drive actions to prevent production delays.
  • Validate routings, lead times, and planning parameters in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Perform capacity planning for critical resources such as punching, bending, welding, copper processing, and finishing operations.
  • Analyze production variances and implement corrective actions to improve schedule adherence.
  • Lead recovery plans for missed schedules, material shortages, or unexpected production disruptions.
  • Generate and maintain planning reports to support operational reviews and decision-making.
  • Lead weekly production scheduling meetings to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity, material availability, and resource constraints.
Requirements:
    • Bachelor Degree
    • +3 years of experience in the role
    • Advanced Experience with ERP/MRP systems mandatory (SAP o S4 HANA).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Forecast experience.
    • Capacity planning and finite scheduling knowledge.
    • Experience in establishing MRP parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, and reorder points) aligned with production requirements, demand patterns, and optimal machine utilization
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
    • Understanding of Sheet Metal fabrication processes (punch, bend, weld, paint).
    • Understanding of Copper fabrication processes and material flow.
    • Fluent English.
