Production Planner

As a Planner, you will demonstrate and provide advanced professional planning experience of high complexity and variety. Perform both tactical and strategic functions within the organization. Lead or become significantly involved with larger, more complex planning assignments. Lead the planning process for your area of responsibility and ensure cross-functional consensus is reached on operation demand plans and inventory plans required to support customer service and revenue objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform advanced professional work related to a variety of planning assignments.
2. Manage complex planning studies, development applications, and reviews, staying on top of future customer demand.
3. Identify all production constraints related to production schedules, based on procurement feedback from Purchasing.
4. Represent and lead Supply Operations in support of organizational requirements and goals, utilizing strong planning knowledge and Oracle skills.
5. Review and process complex, comprehensive production plan amendments and their reasons.
6. Use Oracle and developed tools to meet customer delivery and responsiveness targets, track inventory, manage supplier scheduling, and oversee new production introduction within manufacturing cells.
7. Provide professional planning assistance to other members of the planning department.
8. Demonstrate leadership towards junior planners within the organization.
9. Consistently deliver high-quality work and ideas.
10. Maintain a proactive, self-directed attitude towards work.
11. Engage in projects that promote continuous improvement within the department.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree.
2. Over 4 years of experience in a similar position.
3. Knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their application in a manufacturing environment.
4. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
5. Availability to travel to the US (Visa Laser required).
6. Mexican Passport.
7. CPIM certification (preferred).
8. Experience with Materials Planning in Machining Area (preferred).
9. Strong knowledge of inventory control tools such as Kanbans, Cycle Counting, Safety Stocks, etc.
10. Extensive knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and electronic components.
11. Proficiency in MS Office and Excel XP or later.
12. Strong understanding of production processes.
13. Knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
14. Proven experience in planning activities such as MPS generation, production line scheduling, forecasting, demand tracking, and inventory control for JIT and SS customers.
