Molex in Guadalajara, Mexico is looking for a Production Planner to drive the execution of production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing capacity, inventory and performance. You will analyse demand versus capacity and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business continuity and on-time delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate demand vs capacity.
• Ability to communicate in English in a professional work environment.

Your Job

As a Production Planner at Molex in Guadalajara, you will be responsible for driving the execution of production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing capacity, inventory, and operational performance. You will play a key role in analyzing demand versus capacity, making decisions during supply constraints, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure business continuity and customer satisfaction.

Our Team

You will be part of the Planning team within Global Shared Plants (GSP), working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Global Planning teams to ensure efficient material flow and on-time delivery.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute production plans (daily/weekly) aligned with customer demand and business priorities
• Analyze demand vs. capacity and make decisions to mitigate risks such as material shortages or production disruptions
• Manage backlog and clear-to-build processes to ensure production readiness and schedule adherence
• Monitor production output and delivery performance, ensuring customer requirements are met
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure smooth execution of plans
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including MRP accuracy, inventory optimization, and planning processes

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
• Experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate short- and long-term demand scenarios
• Ability to communicate in English in a professional work environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing (electronics preferred)
• Experience managing demand vs. capacity in complex environments
• Experience with advanced supply chain tools (Kinaxis or similar)
• APICS certification or related specialization
