Job Description Summary

Production Leader is responsible for overseeing the entire production process for GE products. They organize and recommend strategies to ensure successful product development in accordance with all specifications. They supervise teams involved in operations and product development.

Supervise and follow up on the production plan for GE operations involving numerical control machines and non-CNC operations such as washing, CMM, manual measurements for the aerospace industry. Provide and follow up on the necessary tools, gauges, documentation, and materials for CNC operators and technicians. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, equipment, autonomous maintenance, and supply standards. Enforce the code of ethics and ensure adherence to Quality Policy, Health and Safety standards, and the Quality Management System.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise machines according to process sheets, work instructions, customer specifications, engineering drawings, etc.
• Verify autonomous maintenance, ensuring TPM instructions and 5S practices are correctly followed.
• Ensure manufacturing documentation is available and provide necessary documents (traveling sheets, first inspection items, etc.) to meet quality requirements. Inspect and verify work before sending for inspection, ensuring process compliance.
• Document actions and complete production and quality records.
• Generate production reports.
• Follow up on CNC operators and technicians attendance and special processes.
• Generate memos for CNC operators and technicians attendance.
• Update knowledge through training participation and request additional training if necessary.
• Meet GE objectives by accepting achievements and identifying new needs.
• Generate cost-saving projects.
• Attend SQDIP meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• CNC machining background.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, PDCA, SMED, CNC processes, inspection methods, measurement instruments, and interpretation of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).

Desired Characteristics

• Ability to handle people and manage conflicts.
• Health and Safety OSHA knowledge.
• Operation and handling of cranes and hoists preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Background in MRP usage.
