Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division seeks a Sr Product Engineer to support the Product Line Support team in product and process development, transfer, and improvement. You will evaluate feasibility, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure quality and performance standards across factories and new facilities.

You will lead prototype validation, update drawings and documentation, and participate in audits while driving VAVE and DFMEA/PFMEA activities to meet project timing and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering is required.
• Bilingual English – Spanish.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in product engineering.
• Experience with design, BOMs and specifications.
• Familiarity with UL/CSAPLM audits and PFMEA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering BOM audits during factory transitions and correct BOMs.
• Update process drawings to support production issues or transitions.
• Lead prototype validation and engineering runs at receiving sites.
• Maintain and upgrade product documentation (prints, 3D parts, specs).
• Lead DFMEA development and support PFMEA activities as needed.
• Work with Manufacturing and Quality to provide technical production support.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Product Senior Engineer.What you’ll do:Job Summary:The Sr Product Engineer will support the Product Line Support (PLS) Engineering team by performing and leading technical assignments related to product and process development, transfer, and improvement. This role involves evaluating the feasibility of proposed solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring products meet Eaton's quality and performance standards. The Product Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product integrity and contribute to the succesful setup of the new manufacturing facility.Job Responsibilities:*Support Engineering BOM audits in transitions between factories and executes BOM corrections, following procedure order.*Process drawing updates and modifications, as necessary, in support of production issues or product transitions between factories.*Lead the prototype validation/engineering run of transitions/NPI at receiving site.*Maintain and upgrade existing products and its documentation (prints, 3D Smart parts & assemblies, specifications, procedures, etc).*Be part of UL IPI, audits and Follow up services, and conduct audits when needed. Proactivity to avoid UL holds / label drop.*Identify and execute cost out projects to drive Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE).*Utilize Phase-Gate process to execute and follow up projects.*Comply with EQMS, Lean and Pro-Launch procedures and policies*Lead to define and implement product validation plan (DVP/PVP) according to drawing, specifications and industry requirements to meet project timing plan.*Work with Manufacturing and Quality engineering to provide technical support for production issues within the factory as well as at our suppliers.*Lead development and update of DFMEA, and support PFMEA activities as needed.*Demonstrates Eaton Leadership Model traits of being passionate, being accountable, being efficient, being transparent, being ethical, learning, thinking and acting strategically, getting results, enabling a digital mindset, and building organizational capability.'R.
