Kautex is seeking an Associate Product Development Engineer in Puebla, Mexico to drive product development from concept through prototyping, validation and mass production. You will manage technical requirements, cost targets, design-to-manufacture, and timing, while aligning with customer specifications and internal teams across design, manufacturing and industrialization.

Fluent English is required and a mechanical/electrical/mechatronics background is essential; blow/injection molding

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education.
• Blow molding or injection molding product design knowledge including welding and assembly is a strong plus.
• Fluent English required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop customer product from first system concept through quote, prototyping, validation and towards a fully released product in mass production
• Ensure proactive requirements and risk management for all technical aspects
• Ensure that customer specifications as well as cost targets, design-to-manufacture and timing goals are met
• Knowledge about and compliance to the customer specific requirements
• Seek for and achieve customers’ buy in to utilize standardized development and validation testing, if and where useful and applicable
• Act as technical liaison between product development teams and the customer and all other internal functions like design, manufacturing and industrialization
• Supervise product testing including handling of hazardous substances, interpretation of test results, introduction of the necessary actions and modifications as required to ensure that all requirements are met
• Support flawless launches by planning and controlling all technical issues related to assigned project and support the Program Manager in delivering highest quality solutions to our customers
• Provide product engineering expertise in a professional manner during customer visits and audits, with the team as well as in collaboration with other departments (e.g. manufacturing)
• Act as a Technical Project Lead Engineer with responsibility for a technical team in small/medium complex projects
