Job Description

This role will support the Americas Procurement team with data analysis, reporting, and operational excellence. They will promote a lean culture and mindset of continuous improvement and will work closely with Logistics, procurement, operations, master data management, and other functions to improve procurement processes and metrics.

This role will primarily support the Americas region but is expected to work with global and regional teams as appropriate to share best practices and standardize global processes where applicable.

Responsibilities
  • Supports Commodity Managers with data collection and analysis in support of strategic sourcing and procurement projects. Uses data to drive insights and actions.
  • Supports and in some cases owns the data assigned to organizational KPI's including cost savings, payment terms, and spend under contract.
  • Responsible for the aggregation and consolidation of data from multiple sources and the necessary analysis to track and continuously improve metrics.
  • Identify data integrity issues and develop process to resolve discrepancies.
  • Owns day-to-day assigned procurement activities as it relates to their assigned categories, including but not limited to supplier approvals and contract storage.
  • Support data analysis for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to support category and/or negotiation strategies.
  • Supports and in some cases leads project management activities for strategic sourcing projects.
  • Builds relationships with business stakeholders that facilitate the realization of strategic and financial value.
  • Document and manage Vertiv freight payment process.
  • Document other Logistics Procurement processes as necessary
Education & Certifications
  • BS/BA in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science or related area.
  • Prefer a minimum of 4 years’ experience in supply chain/operations.
  • Certification in CPSM, CSCP, CLTD, Business Intelligence, Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence preferred (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Certified etc.).
Requirements
  • Proven proficiency in data analysis and advanced Excel skills (e.g. VBA, macros, and pivot tables).
  • Proficiency with PowerBI, and other data analysis/visualization tools (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to create reports and generate insights.
  • Experience with process mapping tools preferred (e.g. Microsoft Visio).
  • Basic proficiency in use of consumer AI Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Project Management Skills – ability to organize and communicate. Use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans and processes.
  • Critical thinker and analytical.
  • Solid business management skills and reputation as a change agent.
  • Ability to communicate to various audiences and train others.
  • Execution oriented, with a strong sense of urgency around tangible results.
  • English language skills required, and Spanish language is a plus.
