Position Summary
We are seeking a Procurement Leader for a temporary assignment supporting one of our clients in the gas station maintenance and remodeling industry. Ideally, candidates should not be currently employed, as this is a full-time temporary position from July to December.
The Procurement Leader will be responsible for managing and optimizing procurement processes related to construction and maintenance services. The role requires expertise in sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation. The individual will also develop procurement strategies, monitor guarantees, and ensure compliance with operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and build strong relationships with strategic suppliers through contractual agreements.
Negotiate favorable commercial terms to benefit the client.
Analyze cost-saving and process optimization opportunities within procurement.
Conduct benchmarking for maintenance services and construction projects.
Design and follow up on the annual strategic procurement plan and purchasing policies.
Evaluate compliance with global and local supplier agreements, managing warranties and penalties.
Monitor supplier performance based on established KPIs, ethics, and compliance standards.
Maintain working knowledge of Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) and industrial safety management systems.
Required Profile
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or a related field associated with fuel storage and retail.
Experience:
Contract management in the procurement of services, equipment, and construction projects.
Administration of warranties and service agreements with clients and suppliers.
Technical Skills:
Advanced English (required).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using ERP systems.

Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

Compensation & Conditions
Gross Monthly Salary: $42,000 MXN
