We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Procurement Jr. Manager to lead our procurement team at our Essential Home Tijuana factory. Initially, the role will be responsible for supporting our Airwick scented oil and Lysol UTR TBC production. As part of the strategy of our Essential Home business unit, it will be divested in order to have a more focused approach on growing the brands. Once the acquisition is complete, the responsibility will be focused on supporting the Airwick scented oil brand. This role is pivotal in our procurement operations, responsible for overseeing indirect and direct spend in the factory while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and our regional/global procurement teams.

Your responsibilities

• Scope of Responsibility: Managing and overseeing indirect and direct spend (materials and packaging for our Airwick and Lysol UTR TBC) of the factory. Once the Essential Home divestment is complete, the role will focus on the Airwick brand.
• Team development: Providing clear and effective leadership to the team, setting goals, identifying development needs, coaching and developing the team members and creating a high-performance team.
• Project Management: Support and drive the execution of projects and strategies developed by regional/global procurement related to the factory.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with regional/global procurement and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with material suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, delivery and cost expectations.
• Risk Management: Proactively identifying and manage potential risks in the supply chain, including supplier vulnerabilities, market fluctuations and other factors that can impact supply security.
• Supplier Service Optimization: Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers in case of a supplier service issue and develop and implement mitigation strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement in procurement activities.
• Ownership and Accountability: Take ownership of procurement activities at the factory and serve as the face of procurement, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• PPV: Understand and analyze in detail the PPV of the site and be able to explain and present the factory PPV results.
  
  

The experience we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in factory procurement.
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost-effective deals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Hands-on approach with a high level of ownership and accountability.
• Familiarity with legal and compliance aspects of procurement.
• Self-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Stress tolerant, able to deal with ambiguity and getting things done.
