Job Responsibilities

Lead and/or direct engineering resources in the development and improvement of processes and equipment. Achieve low-cost manufacturing, superior quality/service, and improved capability/capacity.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated delivery of results through project and organizational leadership, including technical accomplishments such as sustainable incremental improvements and step changes in capability/performance.
  2. Priority Setting: Ability to identify objectives and achieve them effectively.
  3. Independence: Ability to work independently in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  4. Technical Knowledge: Materials fundamentals, Prompt Engineering, OSI PI or similar, Databricks.
  5. Analytical Skills: Data-driven decision-making, data collection, process control, statistical tools (Pareto, Control Charts, Process Stats, Stratification, Histograms, Process Capability Analysis, Hypothesis testing, MSA, etc.).
  6. Management Skills: Organization, DMAIC methodology, project management, time management, action planning, follow-up.
  7. Manufacturing Knowledge: Lean manufacturing.
  8. Personal Attributes: Team-oriented, ethical awareness, social commitment.
Education
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering; a master's degree is a plus.
Work Experience
  • 4-6 years in a similar role or experience in process/manufacturing engineering, quality, new product introductions, or product engineering in a multi-product manufacturing environment, using statistical process control or quality control & risk assessment, leading multiple senior engineers and technical resources.
  • Experience in project management, product transfer, or new equipment implementation projects.
Desired Skills
  • Presentation skills at all levels.
  • DMAIC Green Belt certification; Black Belt is a plus.
  • Experience with process audits and certification.
  • Knowledge of fiber connectivity science.
  • Financial analysis skills for project justification.
  • Experience benchmarking with foreign vendors to implement manual process improvements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel, MS Word, and SPC XL.
