High Level Statement of the Role

The “Process Engineer II” is responsible for ensuring the quality and productivity of manufacturing processes on a day-to-day basis within the framework of quality, safety, and environmental systems. They support NPI activities according to Engineering procedures and engage in continuous improvement to meet goals at KEMX, following all customer and internal requirements.

High Level Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Authority to strengthen the OH&S culture through education, training, and awareness.
  2. Authority to reduce risks to people's security and health and to enhance process safety.
  3. Authority to enforce the Code of Conduct (CoC) and internal rules.
  4. Authority to stop unsafe work.
  5. Authority to report to management on the performance of the management system and opportunities for improvement.
  6. Authority to request corrective actions if quality goals are not met.
  7. Authority to ensure compliance with customer requirements and to correct quality problems.
  8. Support and follow our quality system at KEMX, with knowledge of standards like ISO 9001, 14001, IATF 16949, 13485, safety, and environmental standards.
  9. Create, analyze, and implement engineering change activities.
  10. Analyze, understand, and meet customer requirements through design packages using documents, drawings, CAD, Gerber files, etc.
  11. Define, implement, and update documentation such as PFD, PFMEA, WI, OCI, formats, etc.
  12. Create, update, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance for equipment under engineering.
  13. Procure new equipment according to VAD (Value Add Development) for new projects.
  14. Run process validations, analyze results, and document conclusions to meet customer requirements.
  15. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions in a timely manner.
  16. Execute and monitor reaction plans and troubleshoot equipment downtime.
  17. Possess SMT knowledge, including stencil and printing, SPI, component placement, AOI, reflow, SMT components/packages, and CAD software.
