Job Description:
TASKS/ACTIVITIES:
- Collaborative-Design to Manufacturing (Co-Design/Co-Indus)
- Contribute to all phases of the design to ensure industrial needs are taken into account.
- Push industrial requirements to Engineering (specific design/M&P) & Supply Chain.
- Introduce Manufacturing best practices/standardization into design.
- Define Build Process for Manufacturing Engineering (ME).
- Calculate the time at operation level.
- Manage Technical Sequencing.
- Specify industrial asset requirements (Jigs, Tools, Tooling, Machines, etc.) for creation or modification.
- Drive implementation of the first installation with shop floor feedback loops for Manufacturing readiness (production handover).
- Plan regular feedback loops with the Production Team.
- Manage configuration (notably Delta 2). Refer to Airbus procedure A2853.3 for details.
- Responsible for the integrated Manufacturing Dossier: create/update routings, BoM, SOI considering shop floor needs, time calculations, and Work Preparation Rules.
- Perform Standard Work based on the SOI (The How).
- Implement Standard Time Values in Routings.
- Ensure robust, reliable, and safe operations.
- Run and support PFMEA/FMEA processes.
- Provide engineering technical information.
- Participate in Quality Control activities, including measurement tasks and capability processes.
- Support component/parts definition, specifications, and jigs & tools activities.
- Contribute to supply chain management, ensuring data consistency and effectiveness.
- Maintain interface tasks.
- Consider Health & Safety regulations.
- Take into account schedule and economic aspects; refer to Airbus procedure A2019.1 for routings, BoM, and SOI creation.
- Sign off on Airbus Process Specifications, Instructions, and Manufacturing Notices.
- Address recurrent work issues escalated by the Production Team.
- Participate actively in production routines and cross-skilled project teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process development.
- Assist in budget and CAPEX planning for cost improvements.
- Evaluate industrial impacts of modifications collaboratively.
- Support Run@Rate processes if applicable.
- This role requires awareness of compliance risks and acting with integrity, supporting Airbus’s reputation and growth.
