Flex is hiring a Senior Process Engineer (Mechanical Assembly) in Guadalajara, North Campus. You will report to the Process Engineer Manager and drive cost, quality and delivery improvements for a PCBA manufacturing environment.

Day-to-day includes developing assembly processes, evaluating designs for manufacturability, and implementing capital equipment. Requires B.A./B.S. and strong English, with experience in mechanical/electronics processes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge in NPI & Mass Production.
• Experience in mechanical assembly / electronics processes.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Technical knowledge: intelligent torque tools, PLCs, liquid cooling systems, pneumatics, poka‑yoke, and maintenance.
• Experience in process development and team management.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical assembly processes for stability and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Prepare justification and implement capital equipment for production.
• Develop and own process control methodologies.
• Lead ECOs and coordinate new process transfer activities.

Reporting to the Process Engineer Manager, this role involves responsibilities for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a PCBA manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develop mechanical assembly processes capable of ensuring stability, capacity, and continuous improvement
• Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Develop, implement and take ownership of process control methodologies
• Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.

Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
