Job summary

Jabil in Mexico is seeking a Test Engineer to manage the test engineering process, analyze yield reports, and drive defect reduction across production lines. You will support preventative maintenance, oversee documentation, and ensure testing is completed to high reliability standards.

Responsibilities include operating automated test equipment, setting up test programs, and maintaining production flow while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and procedures.
• Ability to present information to managers, clients and teams.
• Mathematical concepts including statistics and geometry basics.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
• Capable of problem solving with data-driven conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze daily process yield reports and identify operator errors and defects.
• Increase production yields by reducing operator and process defects.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Review downtime and set guidelines for maintenance scheduling.
• Maintain process manuals and documentation.
• Ensure tests and 5x5 tests are performed per procedures.
• Conduct walkthroughs, inspections and test evaluations.
• Ensure product testing completeness and reliability.
• Assist Project Test Engineer with process reviews.
• Set up equipment for programming and verification tests per procedures.
• Operate automated test equipment on circuit boards and subassemblies.
• Maintain continuous production flow and hit output goals.
• Label and stamp boards, fill tags, and report recurring test failures.
• Comply with safety and security policies and site rules.
