TekniPlex in Mexicali, MX, is seeking a Engineer to determine operations to produce products, develop processes to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency. Responsible for troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, 2+ years in manufacturing, and experience in process improvement. Bilingual English/Spanish is valued for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in extrusion or injection molding is preferred.
• Background in process improvement, industrial manufacturing, or medical device manufacturing.
• Experience leading projects and working with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide manufacturing support to the engineering team in the design and development of new processes and products.
• Coordinate manufacturing builds with production and transfer technical products into production and out of engineering.
• Evaluate process improvements with sales and production to maximize ROI.
• Partner with quality to improve process validation runs and assist with corrective action plans and SOP/WI development.
• Compose, execute and approve process validation protocols and reports.
• Collaborate with technical experts to improve current process capabilities.
• Lead projects to improve process capabilities and remove bottlenecks.
• Provide technical support for root cause analysis on internal and external complaints/issues.

The candidate for this position will be responsible for determine operations to produce products and develops processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met. Troubleshoot problems with production and takes corrective action. Researches the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide manufacturing support to the engineering team in the design and development of new processes and products. With a focus on manufacturability and process integration, offer a manufacturing perspective to the product development team.
• Work closely with production to coordinate manufacturing builds. Provide process documentation to transfer technical products into production and out of engineering.
• Work with sales and production to evaluate, analyze, and determine process improvements that impact the "bottom line" and which the best return on investment.
• Partner with quality to improve and streamline process validation runs, assist with corrective action plans and assist with developing new SOP and WI's.
• Compose, execute and approve process validation protocols and reports.
• Use tools and knowledge to work closely with technical experts to improve current process capabilities.
• Lead projects focused on improving process capabilities of the technically challenging product styles. Determine bottlenecks and provide solutions to remove current constraints.
• Lead technical support for root cause analysis on internal and external complaints / issues.

Education

• A bachelor's degree in a related engineering field such as Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required

Languages

• English and Spanish (written and spoken)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in process development and manufacturing environments.
• Experience in extrusion or injection molding (preferred).
• Background in process improvement, industrial manufacturing, or medical device manufacturing.
• Experience leading projects and working with cross-functional teams.
