Process Engineer
What you’ll do:
- Improve and develop the LW Process.
- Follow the 1 Product 1 Process (1P1P) strategy.
- Create process documentation (SWI, Process parameter control, Setup, PFMEA).
- Support site activities for Autonomous Manufacturing Group.
- Provide proper follow-up of Policy Deployment actions.
- Monitor process improvement & Autonomous Manufacturing Center metrics.
- Analyze variables & adjust processes accordingly.
- Maintain PLC knowledge.
- Apply automation experience with robots.
- Help develop new projects, ensure correct launch processes, and utilize automation to reduce cycle time, increase PPH, and ensure product quality.
- Improve PPH through muda elimination and robot movement optimization.
- Reduce scrap via data analysis, SMED, and process improvements to lower raw material costs in injection molding.
- Implement best practices for the global team, develop process parameters for new programs, and debug new part numbers.
- Design, execute, test, and monitor process quality results.
- Develop best practices for process improvement.
- Update PFMEA documentation.
- Reduce scrap through process improvements.
- Conduct DOE and analyze results.
- Manage reception of new products (documentation, equipment).
- Create ECN in Manit.
- Standardize engineering changes.
- Establish processing requirements for equipment design and acquisition (Manufacturing Process Specification).
- Develop new product launch programs, including SWI and setup creation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production process/equipment issues.
- Design and plan layout for materials.
- Plan operation sequences and specify procedures for processing materials.
- Understand all customer-specific requirements and interpret drawings (2D and SolidWorks).
- Utilize troubleshooting tools effectively.
- Perform time studies, line balancing, and ergonomics assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with departments like QC, Finance, Engineering, and Security.
- Conduct tests and measurements during production to control variables.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure corrective actions meet reliability standards and documentation is compliant.
What is required:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Knowledge of JDE Oracle.
- Experience with quality criteria for steering wheels.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SolidWorks.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and problem-solving skills.
- Good judgment and communication skills.
- Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Detail-oriented and adaptable to travel and schedules.
