What you’ll do

At Oracle, we’re continuously building on our foundation of intelligent solutions for the healthcare industry. Our technologies connect people and systems worldwide, supporting the clinical, financial, and operational needs of organizations of every size.

Our team focuses on reimagining healthcare applications to improve user experience and ensure safe and effective use across roles and responsibilities. As a Lead Designer, you will identify and solve complex healthcare problems by collaborating with clinicians, developers, product management, and other UX associates. You will also work to integrate automated and intelligent processes through smarter, more responsive technologies, utilizing AI and predictive analytics to help users access reliable information within the right context.

Creating a new vision for healthcare requires a powerful, flexible experience that works across multiple apps, device types (mobile, desktop, IoT, large displays), and adapts naturally to different contexts. We aim not just for functionality but also beauty—designing data visualizations and charts that are easy to understand and aesthetically pleasing. We are changing paradigms and making our customers fall in love with our interactions.

You will work alongside top designers, product managers, and technologists to design solutions used globally for healthcare systems and operations. Your work will impact both user experience and the industry as we work to redefine healthcare.

Responsibilities of a Principal Designer

• Discover user needs, generate insights, develop concepts, and craft interaction solutions.
• Communicate research findings, ideas, design rationale visually and verbally.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, information architecture, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes; iterate based on feedback.
• Use user research data to inform UX deliverables.
• Present concepts to stakeholders and gain buy-in.
• Contribute to design specifications and evolve design systems.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation.
• Mentor junior designers.

Required qualifications and traits

We are looking for someone with:

• 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio of products.
• Full-stack UX design skills, including interaction, visual design, typography, motion, 3D, and human factors.
• Excellent collaboration skills, inspiring and working well with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to deliver results.
• Strong storytelling skills to communicate product narratives effectively.
• Ability to balance rules with innovative, user-centered design moments.
• A passion for learning, refining assumptions based on data, and helping users solve problems.
• A desire to create impactful change at a company committed to inclusive innovation.
