Position:

Principal Engineering Technician in Cd. Juarez, Chih., at Plant Salvarcar.

Purpose:

Under supervision, documents and develops technical functions related to tests, quality control, layout, manufacturing, modification, and assembly of mechanical equipment. Performs electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and testing tasks in areas such as manufacturing, quality, engineering, tests, and development. Builds, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, verifies, and maintains equipment, components, artifacts, and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports Principal Technicians or Engineers in discipline-related matters.
  • Follows standardized procedures for tasks.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Operates basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
  • Completes environmental and safety training.
  • Writes technical reports with graphics and schemes to describe system characteristics and dysfunctions.
  • Solves system, component, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, or installation problems.
  • Performs operational diagnostics, documents changes, and isolates failures.
  • Ensures calibration and repair of tools and testing equipment.
  • Supports equipment and fixtures quotation processes.
  • Assists in equipment installation and validation.
  • Supports SPC processes and generates engineering changes or ECOs.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • High school, technical career, or equivalent education.
  • Training in electronics, mechanics, production, electro-mechanics, testing, quality, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in the medical products industry is desirable.
  • Proficiency in English (preferably 60%).
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of GMPs / ISO standards is preferred.
  • Understanding of maintenance, calibration, documentation, and quality systems.
  • Computer skills and experience with measurement/testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with campus information systems is a plus.
  • Completion of departmental or corporate training courses in manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to use internal documentation change systems (CPDM).
