McDonald’s Global Technology in Mexico City is seeking a Principal Engineer to own the transformation of our POS and Restaurant technologies. You will partner with Product Management and Architecture to define and lead execution of forward-looking initiatives and manage 3rd party engineering vendors.

This role focuses on delivering high-value transformations, improving customer experiences, and reducing repetitive tasks.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals: OOD, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• 3+ years of software development with C# and .NET Core.
• 1+ year contributing to application design (architecture, patterns, reliability, scaling).
• 1+ year hands-on AWS experience including Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, ECS/EKS.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices with scalable contracts.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and event-driven architecture.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Strong understanding of SOA and layered architecture, DI and domain-driven design.
• Experience with unit/integration testing and static analysis tools like SonarQube; Agile environment.
• Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jira, TeamCity; CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).

• Lead all aspects of development, mentoring and training of staff.
• Define and drive the vision, design, roadmap and end-to-end features with Product and Architecture teams.
• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain software to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
• Advise senior management on data management best practices and align with partners.
• Work in an Agile, startup-like environment prioritizing meaningful work.
