We are seeking a candidate to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and design data-driven solutions.
  2. Lead strategic prototyping workshops to clarify objectives and facilitate effective collaboration across Global Technology Shared Services (InfoSec, Infrastructure, Production Support, etc.).
  3. Differentiate approaches for self-service BI versus corporate BI solutions, including data source selection and ETL processes.
  4. Enhance reporting efficiency by standardizing practices, creating sharing mechanisms, and providing training for Power BI report designers and consumers.
  5. Promote Power BI as a product, stay updated with technological advancements, and evaluate use cases and alternatives.
  6. Contribute to the Power Platform Centre of Excellence by establishing governance structures for Power BI deployment.
  7. Assess adoption and satisfaction levels, collaborating with product and UX teams.
  8. Act as a change ambassador, fostering collaboration and creative problem-solving.

What UST expects from you:

  • Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, skilled in data analysis, modeling, and ETL design.
  • Experience with performance tuning and handling large data volumes.
  • Understanding of enterprise big data architectures.
  • Proven experience in developing reporting and analytics solutions, including Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, SSAS.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, and Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Experience with Power BI and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio (SSDT).
  • Good understanding of data security models.
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level), working with international teams.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in building reporting governance frameworks and driving organizational adoption.
  • Experience with SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience consuming data via APIs, Snowflake, various databases, and file formats.
  • Understanding of Data Quality approaches, such as shift-left testing.

Work location: 100% remote within Spain.

Work schedule: Business hours, with no intensive Fridays or summer schedules.
