Sezzle LA is seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer to lead backend development and AI enablement in a fast‑paced fintech environment. You will guide design, implementation, and delivery of scalable services and APIs using Golang, AWS, and modern distributed patterns.

You will mentor peers, influence technical direction, and partner with product and engineering teams to drive impactful, data‑driven solutions for merchants and customers.

Formación

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience including backend focus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and strong Golang proficiency.
• Experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools and AI to enhance productivity.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, design, and build scalable backend services and APIs using Golang, AWS, and modern patterns.
• Lead AI enablement efforts to apply AI for developer productivity and customer experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, Support, and other engineering teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and deliver meaningful results.
