A leading company in the electrical power industry is seeking a skilled professional to design and coordinate electrical systems for modular data centers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong CAD capabilities, effective communication skills, and proficiency in electrical power system design. This role involves collaboration with various technical disciplines and preparation of technical proposals to meet customer requirements.

Descripción del empleo

Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents.

Understanding customer requirements provided by SA and sales team.

Concept design of electrical system architecture and equipment.

Knowledge of relevant codes and standards for electrical power equipment and installations.

CAD modeling skills.

Coordination with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, HVAC, controls, fire protection).

Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers.

Effective communication with customers to propose optimal solutions.

Preparation of technical proposals for Vertiv modular data center solutions.

Provision of electrical design documents.

Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions.

Support to SA and sales teams.

Proficiency in electrical power system design.

Strong CAD capabilities, including layout representation, electrical schematic diagrams, and specifics of custom electrical sub-systems such as UPS, DC systems, LV and MV power distribution, and diesel gensets.

Dimensioning and specification of electrical equipment and installations.

Knowledge of short circuit and protection coordination study calculations and modeling tools.

Active proficiency in English.

Solution-based thinking integrating Mechanical and Electrical components for customer deployments.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, for collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Proficiency in PC skills: Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word), AutoCAD.
