Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Aguascalientes is seeking an Intern to support production and electronic assembly processes, focusing on PCBA assembly and module integration. You’ll apply industrial engineering principles, Lean manufacturing concepts, and continuous improvement practices to ensure safe, repeatable operations.

You will participate in process documentation, line balancing, risk analysis, and develop a basic understanding of SMT processes while supporting ongoing improvement

Qualifications

• Participation in university projects focused on manufacturing, industrial engineering, electronics, or process improvement.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing projects.
• Basic understanding of assembly operations and production systems.
• Experience using Excel for data analysis and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support SMT, PTH, and Assembly manufacturing processes to meet targets, quality, and safety.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process flows, and manufacturing documentation.
• Participate in Lean-based process improvement activities and problem solving.
• Assist in NPI, process validation, and production line readiness activities.
• Analyze process data, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions under guidance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams for daily operations.
• Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, yield and cost.
