Job summary

Valeo is seeking a VPS Trainee/Apprentice within the Supplier Performance & Development team in Mexico. The role involves supporting daily administrative tasks, assisting with supplier audits, updating supplier data, and generating performance reports.

You will work with Purchasing and Quality to resolve supplier issues and learn Valeo's supplier management processes. The position is part-time and offered as a fixed-term contract, suitable for students enrolled in relevant engineering or SCM

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Supplier Performance & Development (SPV) team in daily administrative tasks.
• Assist in the preparation and follow-up of supplier audits and evaluations.
• Help maintain and update supplier databases and documentation.
• Participate in the analysis of supplier performance data and report generation.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Purchasing, Quality) to resolve supplier-related issues.
• Assist in tracking and monitoring supplier corrective actions.
• Learn and apply Valeo's quality standards and supplier management processes.
• Prepare presentations and reports for team meetings.

Job Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical), Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is highly desirable.
• Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is a plus.
