Corning Inc. in Reynosa, Tamaulipas is seeking a student in the final semesters of an engineering degree to join the Optical Communications materials team.

You will help drive cost reductions and develop scalable resin evaluation processes across business units. The role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration across engineering, procurement, quality and manufacturing, and familiarity with Excel/PowerPoint; knowledge of C# and SQL is a plus.

Formación

• Student in final semesters of a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research abilities with data interpretation.
• Familiar with Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of programming (C#) and SQL is a plus.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of key technical duties and activities. Leads projects to improve overall process and technical efficiency.

Experiences/Education - Required

Student in the final semesters of a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
