Job summary

Ford Mexico is seeking a Powertrain Calibration Engineer to act as the technical bridge between Quality, Product Development, and Calibration teams. Lead end-to-end resolution of complex field concerns for powertrain controls across combustion, hybrid, and electric architectures.

You will drive cross-functional task forces, coordinate software updates, verify remedies, and develop field service bulletins to prevent recurrence while improving customer satisfaction and vehicle integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• 3–5 years in automotive problem‑solving, quality engineering, systems engineering, or powertrain calibration.
• Experience leading root-cause analyses with structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Knowledge of powertrain systems (combustion, hybrid, or electric) and diagnostics.
• Ability to drive cross-functional alignment in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license for on-vehicle data collection.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end resolution of powertrain controls and calibration field concerns.
• Lead cross-functional technical task forces and implement fixes.
• Coordinate software updates, service calibrations, and field rollouts.
• Verify effectiveness and develop TSBs for field technicians.
• Capture lessons learned and feed into future designs.
