About the role of the Pool & Beach Server

The Pool & Beach Server provides exceptional food and beverage service to guests enjoying the pool and beach areas. This role ensures that guests experience attentive, prompt, and friendly service while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work areas.

What you will do:

  • Greet guests in the pool and beach areas in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders, and communicate them to the bar or kitchen staff.
  • Deliver orders promptly and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay in the area.
  • Continuously monitor assigned sections to anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all service areas including lounge chairs, tables, and cabanas.
  • Upsell menu items, cocktails, and daily specials to increase revenue.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate if necessary.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the pool/beach service stations.
  • Ensure guests adhere to resort rules and safety regulations in pool and beach areas.

What you bring:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required for effective communication with guests and team members.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Food & Beverage service role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or similar upscale environment is a strong asset.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology, including MICROS.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, and carrying trays for extended periods, and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions such as heat, humidity, and sun exposure.
