Chubb is seeking a Mid/Senior QA Engineer with strong Playwright automation experience to join our technology team in Mexico. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications.

You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA professionals within an Agile environment to identify quality risks, automate test scenarios, and support continuous delivery.

Formación

• 4-7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Hands-on Playwright for web automation and UI testing.
• Strong QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, defect management, and best practices.
• Experience building automated UI and end-to-end test frameworks.
• Knowledge of Page Object Model, test fixtures, reusable components, and test data.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD tools.
• API testing and tools (Postman, REST Assured) and SQL/database validation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI test scripts using Playwright.
• Create and maintain automated regression, functional, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.
• Translate requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual and automated testing for functionality, usability, integration, and regression.
• Identify and track defects through lifecycle; collaborate with developers to validate fixes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Develop reusable test components, fixtures, and page-object models.
• Perform API testing and validate integrations with appropriate tools.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA strategy improvements.
• Maintain documentation of test cases, automation frameworks, results, and metrics.
• Support troubleshooting of test environments and deployments; mentor junior QA engineers.

Job Summary

Chubb is looking for a Mid/Senior QA Engineer with strong Playwright automation experience to join our technology team in Mexico. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications.

You will work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA professionals within an Agile environment to identify quality risks, automate test scenarios, and support continuous delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI test scripts using Playwright.
• Create and maintain automated regression, functional, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual and automated testing to validate application functionality, usability, integration, and regression requirements.
• Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track defects through the complete defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate failures, identify root causes, and validate fixes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Develop reusable test components, utilities, fixtures, and page-object models to improve automation efficiency.
• Perform API testing and validate application integrations using appropriate testing tools.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to QA strategy, automation standards, test planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain clear documentation of test cases, automation frameworks, test results, defects, and quality metrics.
• Support troubleshooting of test-environment and deployment-related issues.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to best practices for test automation and software quality.

Required Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web application test automation.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, defect management, and testing best practices.
• Experience developing automated UI and end-to-end test frameworks.
• Experience with Page Object Model, test fixtures, reusable automation components, and test data management.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket or similar source-control platforms.
• Experience integrating automated tests with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of SQL/database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright Test and advanced Playwright capabilities.
• Experience with Cucumber/BDD or other behavior-driven testing approaches.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker or containerized test environments.
• Familiarity with performance, security, or accessibility testing.
• Experience working in financial services, insurance, banking, or other highly regulated environments is a plus.
• Experience with test reporting and quality dashboards.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure Boards, or other test/defect management platforms.
