Formación

  • 12+ años de experiencia tecnológica, incluyendo 4+ años en desarrollo de software y gestión de datos.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

As a member of the Platform engineering team, you will be the key techno-functional expert leading and overseeing PepsiCo's Platforms & operations and drive a strong vision for how Platforms engineering can proactively create a positive impact on the business. You'll be an empowered leader of a team of Platform engineers who build platform products for optimization and cost efficiency, and develop tools for Platform and Data Operations on the PepsiCo Data Lake. Your role includes enabling exploration and access for analytics, visualization, machine learning, and product development across the company. You will also manage the platform Governance team that builds frameworks to safeguard the platforms of large and complex data applications in public cloud environments, impacting the design and implementation of PepsiCo's flagship data products related to revenue management, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics. You will work closely with process owners, product owners, and business users in a hybrid environment with in-house, on-premises data sources, as well as cloud and remote systems.

Your Impact

As CTO Associate Manager, your scope will include:

  • Active contribution to cost optimization of platforms and services.
  • Managing and scaling Azure Data Platforms to support new product launches and enhance platform stability and observability across data products.
  • Building and owning automation and monitoring frameworks that capture metrics and operational KPIs for Data Platforms, focusing on cost and performance.
  • Implementing best practices around systems integration, security, performance, and platform management.
  • Empowering the business by increasing the adoption of data, data science, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborating with internal clients (data science and product teams) to drive solutions and proof-of-concept discussions.
  • Evolving the architectural capabilities and maturity of the data platform through engagement with enterprise architects and strategic partners.
  • Developing and optimizing procedures to operationalize data science models.
  • Defining and managing SLAs for platforms and processes in production.
  • Supporting large-scale experimentation by data scientists.
  • Prototyping new approaches and building solutions at scale.
  • Researching state-of-the-art methodologies.
  • Creating documentation for learnings and knowledge transfer.
  • Creating and auditing reusable packages or libraries.
Qualifications

¿Who Are We Looking For?

  • 12+ years of overall technology experience, including at least 4+ years of hands-on software development, program management, and data engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience with Data Lake infrastructure, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics tools.
  • 4+ years of experience with Databricks optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience managing multiple teams and coordinating with stakeholders to implement the team’s vision.
  • Fluency with Azure cloud services; Azure Certification is a plus.
  • Experience integrating multi-cloud services with on-premises technologies.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience building and operating highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing large data sets.
  • Experience with at least one MPP database technology such as Redshift, Synapse, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with version control systems like Github and deployment & CI tools.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks.
  • Experience with statistical/ML techniques is a plus.
  • Experience in retail or supply chain solutions is a plus.
  • Understanding metadata management, data lineage, and data glossaries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile development, including DevOps and DataOps concepts.
  • Familiarity with BI tools like PowerBI.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related fields.
