Franklin Electric Co. in Linares, Mexico, is seeking a Plastic Injection Manufacturing Engineer to establish and document manufacturing processes per company specifications.

You will ensure equipment reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance programs and define maintenance plans for each asset under your responsibility. You will lead the creation and implementation of work instructions, train staff, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and quality systems.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years in project administration.
• Skills: teamwork, verbal and written communication, leadership.
• Initial training: Lean Manufacturing, AutoCAD, JDEdwards, MP8 for maintenance and systems, QMS.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, update, and distribute Work Instructions.
• Implement Work Instructions through training.
• Design the preventive maintenance system for production equipment.
• Optimal administration of manufacturing equipment to support plant operations.
• Coordinate the acquisition and installation of manufacturing equipment and/or necessary services.
• Lead and support personnel to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Promote and communicate the results and/or effectiveness of processes, and action plans.
• Drive Continuous Improvement in the assigned processes.
• Comply with quality objectives and the company’s Quality System.
• Maintain company-owned tools and personal equipment in good condition.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects as required.
• Follow up on corrective actions within the Quality System.

Plastic Injection Manufacturing Engineer

Description

Establish manufacturing processes according to the specifications set by the Company, documenting the process both verbally and graphically to ensure proper product manufacturing. Ensure that the company’s machinery and equipment remain in optimal operating conditions through the management, control, and implementation of adequate preventive and corrective maintenance programs. To achieve this, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for defining the maintenance plan for each piece of equipment under their responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation, updating, and distribution of Work Instructions.
• Implementation of Work Instructions through training.
• Design the preventive maintenance system for production equipment.
• Optimal administration of manufacturing equipment to support plant operations.
• Coordinate the acquisition and installation of manufacturing equipment and/or necessary services.
• Demonstrate commitment by leading and supporting personnel under their supervision to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Promote and communicate the results and/or effectiveness of their processes, as well as the actions and/or reaction plans when applicable.
• Responsible for Continuous Improvement in the assigned processes.
• Comply with the job’s quality objectives and the company’s strategic objectives.
• Comply with the requirements of the Quality System.
• Maintain company-owned tools and personal equipment in good, clean, and safe condition.
• Perform work with quality, meeting required standards.
• Participate in the company’s Continuous Improvement projects as required.
• Follow up on corrective actions within the Quality System as applicable.
• Fulfill pertinent roles assigned by management as applicable (e.g., Emergency Brigades, Auditors, Program Sponsors).

EDUCATION: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years in project administration.

SKILLS: Teamwork, verbal and written communication, leadership.

INITIAL TRAINING: Lean Manufacturing, technical information from the intranet, product manufacturing processes, AutoCAD, use and management of JDEdwards, use and management of MP8 for maintenance and systems, use and management of the QMS.
